The LifeWorks in the Workplace team of professional Consultants are experts in all workplace related matters and bring together a wealth of experience, skills and insights from a range of different industries and disciplines. 

Our team can offer an array of specialist consulting, training and EAP services that can help you build resilience and competency within your organisation, mitigate risk and resolve any immediate issues you may be experiencing within the workplace. 

In addition to the core consultancy and administrative team of Cynthia Logan, Rebecca Henshall, Leah WallsMeredith Brown and Mary Broome. LifeWorks in the Workplace also has a team of sessional Consultants available to work on key projects and an in-house administrative team that can provide online training and consulting solutions. 

 

Manager of Business Services and Principal Consultant with LifeWorks in the Workplace, Cynthia Logan has worked extensively both training and consulting in the areas of equal opportunity, human resources and employment law within the public and private sector. 

Cynthia joined LifeWorks in 2008 after eleven years as Principal Consultant with the Victorian Employers' Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VECCI) and ten years working for the Federal and State Governments in the labour market arena at policy, operational and management levels. An experienced counsellor, Cynthia has also operated in the drug and alcohol field and even established and ran her own successful casting agency.

Cynthia has a Graduate Diploma in Equal Opportunity Administration and a Diploma in Investigations (Government). She trained in Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution through Melbourne University and is a Nationally Accredited Mediator. Cynthia is also accredited in MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) and the Genos Emotional Intelligence profile and is a certified Level IV Workplace Assessor and Trainer.

Working with small, medium and large organisations across a range of industries and sectors Cynthia provides expert strategic advice, management guidance and practical solutions for organisations to manage workplace behavioural, performance and cultural issues.

Cynthia’s specialist areas of expertise include:

  • Mediations, investigations and dispute resolution into workplace issues (including complaints of sexual harassment, harassment, discrimination and workplace bullying).

  • HR policy development and customised training in equal opportunity application (discrimination, harassment and bullying).
     
  • Cultural audits and workplace risk assessments.
      
  • Representation of organisations with external agencies such as the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commision (HREOC) and the Victorian WorkCover Authority.
     
  • Design and delivery of customised training courses (including communication skills, performance management and conflict resolution).
     
  • Management Coaching (practical strategies to effectively manage challenging workplace behaviour issues).
     

A Psychologist specialising in the area of organisational development and education, Rebecca Henshall has worked across a number of industries including local government, community services, telecommunications, retail and education, in a variety of leadership roles.

Rebecca has operated in private practice offering counselling to young people and families, and successfully managed her own training and coaching business delivering programs in leadership, communications, performance management, conflict resolution and mediation. Rebecca has also partnered with the Victorian Employers' Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VECCI) to deliver a number of training programs.

Holding qualifications in Psychology, Business Administration and Organisation Dynamics, Rebecca uses a combination of theory, practice and experience to provide indepth analysis, insightful advice and realistic strategies for people management and development in the workplace.

A skilled communicator, Rebecca inspires trust, builds emotional intelligence and facilitates the courageous conversations that assist organisations to discuss the ‘undiscussables’ that often inhibit peak performance.

With an emphasis on awareness raising and behaviour change techniques, Rebecca has led a number of workplace culture change programs, provides performance and leadership coaching to all organisational levels and regularly facilitates in house training seminars and workshops on a variety of communication, management and teamwork topics.

A Nationally Accredited mediator and Conflict Coach, Senior Consultant Leah Walls has extensive experience in staff management and HR consulting and across the local government, community and education sectors and private industry.

Previously the General Manager of a Psychological and Organisational Consultancy Company based in the Northern Territory, she has worked in the area of conflict management for over ten years and is a skilled mediator, investigator, trainer, facilitator and coach.

Leah holds a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations from the University of Melbourne, a Bachelors of Arts Degree from the University of the Northern Territory and Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.

Through both her leadership and management positions and wide-ranging consulting services, Leah has considerable experience assisting managers to develop sound people management processes and skills within their organisation.

Leah is also an accomplished training facilitator, and has worked with private and public sector organisations in the development of a suite of organisational responses such as policy development, conducting tailored training, one-on-one coaching and facilitated workshop sessions for HR teams.

  • Staff management (including managing underperforming or difficult staff).

Meredith Brown is LifeWorks’ Manager of Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Services. 

Meredith Brown is LifeWorks’ Manager of Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Services and Manager of Counselling Services. With over twenty years experience in counselling and psychology, Meredith is a registered psychologist and an Accredited Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia. 

Meredith has worked as a counsellor, supervisor, organisational consultant and senior manager in a variety of settings and industries including state and local government, secondary and tertiary education, child and family services, not-for-profit organisations and in private practice.

She is also an experienced trainer and facilitator and has worked at both Monash Mt Eliza Business School as a consultant and the University of Melbourne as a guest lecturer, sessional tutor and Fellow in the Department of Criminology.

Meredith's specialist areas of expertise include:

LifeWorks in the Workplace's Team Administrator is Mary Broome. 

A published author of educational text books and training resources, Mary has worked in the education sector for over thirteen years. Dedicated to providing all LifeWorks in the Workplace clients with efficient and responsive support, Mary has extensive experience in the management of systems and operations, IT solutions, including online learning programs and the production of training materials.
